What’s included?

Led by consultant Mike Murawski, “Making Change Happen” is a 2-hour online workshop where you will:

  • Identify specific change goals you want to make in your community or organization

  • Learn practical strategies for navigating barriers and making steps for change

  • Learn how to expand your sphere of influence in strategic ways to move towards collective action.

Participants also receive a workbook beforehand to use during the workshop —for notes, exercises, and post-workshop reflection.

Questions & Answers

  • Each workshop will run live through Zoom, and any asynchronous materials will be shared through email a few days before the workshop begins.

    As soon as you sign up, you’ll receive an email with the zoom link details. Within a week of the workshop, you’ll receive a reminder with the workbook and Zoom link again. The workbook will also be shared at the beginning of the workshop.

  • We are running this 2-hour workshop three times this spring (one date each in March, April, and May). We do not currently have plans to run it again in 2024.

    However, we also offer a version of this workshop (online or in-person) for teams and organizations, independently or in connection with other consulting or speaking services. Contact murawski27@gmail.com for details.

  • Yes! We created three different time & date options to make this workshop compatible with as many different time zones and schedules as possible.

    NOTE: The May 21 workshop is scheduled specifically to correspond with European afternoon and evening schedules.

    This workshop is designed to facilitate a shift from ideas to action in small and concrete ways, and includes a workbook that you’ll be able to continue to use after the workshop ends.

About the Instructor

Mike Murawski has a PhD in Education and Arts Learning from American University, and over 15 years of experience working in museum and nature education and leadership positions. He is the author of Museums as Agents of Change: A Guide to Becoming a Change Maker (2021). He is also the founding author and editor of ArtMuseumTeaching.com, co-producer of the Museums Are Not Neutral global advocacy campaign, and the co-director of Art Nature Place.
