With its ponds, streams, forests, and wetlands - all within a 2 mile walk of the visitor center - Tualatin Hills is a wonderful family park to explore seasonal changes throughout the year. This packet includes materials that explore the abundance of wildlife in the park.
Tualatin Hills is especially well known for its population of rough-skinned newts - amphibian animals who migrate seasonally between their breeding ponds and the forest habitat. In March and April, this park is also a great place to see Trilliums and other spring wildflowers. In addition, you can find frogs, ducks, slugs, and other forest creatures throughout the year.
