The packet explores Canemah Bluff and the significant historical and natural features that make it such a special place in the Pacific Northwest.
Canemah Bluff is a pretty amazing place to learn local history. It is situated above a part of the Willamette River that was once a major canoe landing location for Native Americans. The region was also the site for early European American settlements due to the Oregon Trail ending in Oregon City, as is evident by an adjacent historic cemetery.
The park is also a great place for kids to explore the moss, lichen, and ferns so prevalent this time of year, and to learn about the rocky geology of the Willamette River.
