April marks the fourth year since we created our very first hand illustrated trail packet for families in the Portland. When we began, we had a simple vision.
We were scholars and educators who were unsatisfied with the kinds of trail-related material that we were finding for our little one. So we set forth with a challenge: make incredible interpretive material that would connect with and engage with him and other kids.
We drew from our experiences as creatives and educators, our knowledge of pedagogy, and our parenting backgrounds to develop our high impact illustration and place based, hands-on material that you find in the material we make for the Portland Explorers Club.
Since we began this business, we have seen a broad need for this kind of impactful interpretive material. Within in the past year, we have been responding to this need by shifting our focus more towards custom illustration and partnerships with with other purpose driven businesses and organizations.
Through this process, we have recognized there is a more formal pivot in our business that we need to make. And we are really excited to share it with you to share it with you in this post!
Changes to Super Nature Adventures
Starting in April, we will be transitioning from a primarily trail-packet based business, to one with a creative design and consultation emphasis, that centers on creative interpretive projects and place based illustration. We will still be offering our monthly subscription service, Portland Explorers Club, but will no have individual trail packets available at our online store.
Our services will help purpose driven organizations, small businesses, and families build meaningful connections with their audiences (students, visitors, community groups, event attendees, etc).
These services will include new focus on custom illustration and partnerships with groups around the country. We will also support educators and outdoor groups in the Portland area, specifically, with trail packet material we’ve already created.
The End of Individual Trail Packet Sales
One of the most immediate changes that we are making involves the online store offerings. Beginning March 15, this kind of material will only be available through subscriptions, group purchase, or as part of partnership school fundraiser event (you email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in working with us on this kind of opportunity).
For members of the Portland Explorers Club, this means your membership will have even more benefits. Members will have exclusive access to the wide array of trail packet material created over the past four years.
The trail packets at the online store will only be available there through March 15, so hurry on over to get you gifts for spring.
Good news for those of you are part of a group or organization (teacher, Girl Scout leader, homeschool group, etc). If you are interested in a group purchase of these packets, they'll still be available after we make these changes. Email us to inquire about how to make this kind group purchase at an affordable rate.
You will start to see changes happening on our website and in social media in the weeks to come that reflects these changes. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition!
And finally, if you are interested in working with us on a project for your organization, business, or event, the best way to reach us is through email (email@example.com).
So many exciting things to come!
